Thailand, Taipei capture titles at international ice hockey tournament
SAMRONG -- The Taipei Typhoon stormed back to win the "Land of Smiles Classic" ice hockey tournament on Saturday night, overcoming a two-goal deficit in the third period to defeat Switzerland's EHC Affoltern 3-2 for the San Miguel Cup.Team Thailand also fought back in the Asian Division final to oust the Hong Kong Hitmen 4-2 at the four-day tourney that featured 25 teams from 15 countries at Imperial Samrong arena.
The Tokyo Canadians captured the international recreational championship, while Team Japanada won the women's division in overtime.
